THE NAMES OF GOD

We are all part of a being called Humanity

Each one of us is a small part of the magnificent and extraordinary life of Humanity, as if Humanity was one magnificent being with a life span of millions of years. Like any other being on this earth, Humanity is born, grows, and develops to become an specimen of its species. Each and every man and woman that has ever lived are part of this splendid being. It will also cease to be, it is just a matter of time. If we go back to the origins of Humanity, its roots descend deeply and are dissolved in the ground of our next of kin some eight million years ago.

One thing it feels appropriate to say is that at this specific time in history, we are not at the end of anything, but rather always in the process-to. Today we may be in the adolescent period. We realize we can be anything, but haven’t made up our minds or the aim of our pursuit. We keep building our muscles, learning about everything outside of our immediate experience, and trying to control as much as we can. Our history is interesting, it has romance, tragedy, action, depth, vision, beauty, darkness, and light.

Make no mistake, one thing is definitely true, the personal decision of each individual that is part of Humanity matters… and so much!

The depth and the height

You may have heard, “there is no light without darkness”; opposites are entangled and intractably united in our Universe. I used to think it meant that opposites taught me what something was by contrast of its counterpart. Also, that you couldn’t have one without the other. Most definitely it is the contrast and differences that give the depth to understand what one or the other is, like if they were one continuum.

Then I understood the profound concept that the Shadow of Carl Jung was, and in contrast the stories of Christ and Buddha. And as I decided and acted towards the Light from both of these men, I realized that my feet were in the damp of the shadow and it made me realize, the higher I attempted to go, the more of my shadow was revealed. As if it was necessary for me to resolve my footing before reaching any higher.

Therefore, the relation between opposites is that they are intimately connected; and when we push, we get an opposite and equal reaction. Like Newton’s third law of motion: Forces act in equal but opposite pairs.

I know what you’re thinking – what does this have to do with the life of this being I call Humanity? – There seem to be billions of us that push and pull in different and opposite directions. If I am a trillion of a part, and in time it will be quadrillions, like cells that are born and die in a body; what difference can each one of us make in the grand scale of this magnificent being? Like we are the smallest scale of stars that keep their consistent being by the opposing exchange of forces of gravity and the expansion of the inner fire of fusion.

It is truly remarkable that the people who have touched my life in a meaningful way are few, and that my exposure to them, timewise, was minuscule compared to the rest of my life. However, they have made a large impact on my appreciation of what is meaningful. In my life, those experiences are much greater than all of the difficulties or obstacles I have ever had. The fire that these people were ignited my life in more ways than I can count.

Have you known people like that?

Imagine, if the exposure we had to people who left a lasting mark on our lives were very small compared to everything else we have experienced, to what extent do our actions, however small, affect the life of Humanity?

If we chose to care as if EVERYTHING is important, if we could live like we were ALL essential, that everyone we met were significant, and that all we do were vital… what then? What if many lived like that? I get the glimpse that I am advancing in this understanding because I am standing on the shoulders of those who have become Light in their lives.

So, our actions are an integral part of the being’s life we call Humanity, and our choices and actions can have a dent and touch the life of this Being, like the few that impacted our lives meaningfully. What could be the upside of this? What could be the limit of it?

So, plan this Christmas to give yourself the best gift no one can give you, love and care for everything you come into contact with as if you and they are the most important and meaningful people and events in your life; no matter if they are friends or foes.

What’s in a name? (Shakespeare)

The whole body of Humanity is unfolding every day. I say, it really is God, the embodiment and life of the invisible-human God: the Son of God. You want to choose one religion or another, one story above another… why waste time, go to the source, you are the highest story in Humanity, so live it to the fullest.

You want to kiss God, kiss yourself; do you want Love to find you, and your life to be plentiful and meaningful, love all that you come into contact with the utmost generosity.
